Being a surrogate is a profoundly rewarding experience! You’ll be giving a life-changing gift to a family in need. Plus, the compensation can help fund your dreams, like furthering your education, spending time with your kids, or owning a home.

Why Become a Surrogate?

Beyond the rewarding feeling of helping families grow, there are many benefits to being a surrogate. As a surrogate, you:

Earn generous compensation
First-time surrogates earn $71,000-$87,000+ in total compensation and benefits, and intended parents pay for all the costs and expenses.
Join a Supportive Community
Being a surrogate is a big commitment, and in addition to an incredibly supportive surrogate community, NW Surrogacy Center partners with the best medical, legal, and mental health professionals.
Participate in a life-changing experience
Enjoy a deeply meaningful relationship with another family, share the selfless act with your children, and get to experience pregnancy again.

Surrogate Requirements

Our surrogates often describe the experience as “extreme babysitting”—caring for another family’s baby. Like any childcare provider, you’ll go through a screening process and need to be stable, mature, and committed.

To be a surrogate, you must:
Live in select states (OR, WA, CA, CO, CT, IL, MA, MN, NM, NV, PA, VT)
Be physically and mentally healthy
Be 21-41 years old
Be a non-smoker
Have a healthy pregnancy history and be parenting your own child
Be willing to take injections and abstain from alcohol/drugs
Have a healthy height to weight ratio
