I first heard about surrogacy through my own research because I was interested in helping people create families that couldn’t do it on their own. I have 3 kids with my husband, so my own family felt complete. I love being pregnant and helping others, so surrogacy seemed like a perfect fit.
When I first told my friends and family I was interested in becoming a surrogate, they were thrilled and ready to support me from the start. I found NWSC because they kept popping up on my “For You” page on Instagram and then in my ads. I did some research on the agency and decided to submit an intake form. From the start, NWSC made me feel supported throughout my process. From my initial phone call, they gave me a lot of reassurance and were always on top of things. They never once made me feel uncomfortable about questions I had, and with surrogacy, there are a lot of questions!

My matching process was smooth and fast. I matched with a gay biracial couple from France. The initial Zoom call with them felt very natural and I got lucky that I felt a connection with the first family I met. Our relationship started out shy because we were strangers but as the process went on, we got more comfortable with each other. Post baby, my relationship with them is still close and we keep in contact. In fact, I’m doing a second surrogacy with them because I had such an amazing experience. Seeing my intended dads with their baby made me so happy and my heart whole!

If I were to give any advice to someone considering becoming a surrogate, I would tell them to be sure you’re done having kids of your own first. The experience is very rewarding and knowing that you can be the person to help complete a family while building life-long friendships is incredible.
