As 2024 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on an incredible year at Northwest Surrogacy Center (NWSC). With each journey, we’ve had the privilege of witnessing families grow, surrogates achieve something extraordinary, and our community come together in meaningful ways. Here’s a look at what we accomplished together this year!
Building Families Around the World
This year, we helped families from 35 different countries begin or continue their surrogacy journeys. Nearly half of the families we worked with were international (47%), while 53% were from the U.S. We’re honored to support parents from all walks of life, with 60% of our families identifying as gay and 40% as straight.
Welcoming New Arrivals
Nothing brings us more joy than celebrating the arrival of babies born through surrogacy. In 2024, we proudly welcomed 172 babies into the world! 🎉 Each birth represents a dream fulfilled, a family completed, and a journey of love and dedication.
Matching Surrogates and Families
The heart of what we do is bringing surrogates and intended parents together. This year, we facilitated 243 successful matches, carefully pairing surrogates with families who share their values and vision.
With 6,984 potential surrogates applying this year, our rigorous screening process ensured that only the most qualified candidates moved forward—resulting in just 3% of applicants being approved. We are deeply grateful for every woman who considers surrogacy, and our top priority is ensuring the safety, well-being, and success of both surrogates and intended families.
A Strong, Supportive Community
Surrogacy is about more than just pregnancy, it’s about the lifelong connections formed along the way. We showed our appreciation by sending 1,376 gifts to surrogates and families, celebrating milestones big and small. And we’re beyond grateful for the 107 returning surrogates who embarked on another surrogacy journey with us, as well as the 115 returning families who chose NWSC to help grow their families once again.
Dedicated to Excellence for Over 30 Years
With over 2,500 babies born since our founding in 1994, NWSC has remained a trusted leader in surrogacy for more than 30 years. Our team worked to screen, match, and support surrogates and families every step of the way. And with surrogates across 12 surrogacy-friendly states, we continue to ensure safe, ethical, and fulfilling journeys for everyone involved.

As we step into a new year, we remain committed to supporting surrogates, guiding families, and making dreams of parenthood come true.
