Surrogate Overview

Working with the best.

NW Surrogacy Center rigorously recruits the best candidates for surrogacy. We seek out women who are mature, stable and enjoy being pregnant. Our surrogates range in age, experience, and personality type, but all of them want to help people have children.

“I really liked getting to know my surrogate and her family and building a relationship with these new people. Most people don’t get to experience a pregnancy with another woman and her family. I felt like we had a family together and we created life together. It was a beautiful process, a beautiful experience.”

NWSC Surrogate States

These are the 15 states where NWSC surrogates live. They ensure access to excellent medical care, allow surrogacy for all parents without conditions, and issue pre-birth orders throughout the state.

Surrogacy-Friendly States with Conditions

These states allow surrogacy, but the process can vary depending on individual circumstances like marriage, residency, or the court’s location. Access to comprehensive maternal medical care may also be limited.

States with Legal Complexities

Proceed with caution– Surrogacy is possible in these states, but the process can be unpredictable. Legal outcomes may differ by county or judge.

Extreme caution advised– Surrogacy is sometimes practiced, and courts may issue parentage orders; however, contracts are void and unenforceable by statute, making legal outcomes unpredictable.

Surrogacy Not Supported

These states prohibit compensated surrogacy by law or court ruling. Pursuing surrogacy here is not advised.

Partnering with the best.

Surrogates in our program have previously given birth to a healthy child and are actively parenting their child. Many are married and employed. We do not accept smokers, and surrogates are required to abstain from drugs and alcohol. They must be willing and able to go through the demands of medical procedures, pregnancy, and placement. Potential surrogates must pass a background check (if partnered, the partner must also pass), a psychological evaluation performed by a clinical psychologist, a home visit, and medical examinations.

NWSC provides intended parents with detailed information about potential surrogates, including medical and social history, physical description, and personal interests. Most importantly, you will have the opportunity to meet and get to know your potential surrogate. NWSC works hard to match surrogates and intended parents who have similar goals and expectations about their relationship and surrogacy.
