I first heard about surrogacy through a social media ad and was immediately intrigued. I remember thinking how amazing it would be to help a couple have a baby. My interest became more serious when a close friend was trying to conceive for quite some time, and I wanted to help her in any way I could.
I’m happily married and have three daughters, ages 19, 15, and 12. When I first told my family and friends that I was considering surrogacy, they were a bit apprehensive. I took the time to talk with them and educate them about how wonderful surrogacy can be, and how it would allow me to help a couple become parents. Once they learned more about the process, they became nothing but supportive of my journey.
I found NWSC through a website while searching for surrogacy agencies near me. I spent a lot of time researching different agencies to find one that truly felt supportive. Throughout my journey, I’ve found that I have such an incredible team at NWSC. They have supported and uplifted me in ways I never imagined an agency could, and they are truly special people who genuinely care about their surrogates. After choosing to work with NWSC and completing my screening, my matching process went very smoothly. I was given a bio of the Intended Parents, and they were given information about me and my family. We quickly chose each other and knew it was the right match for both sides. Our match meeting over Zoom was very casual, and it honestly felt like I had known the Intended Parents my whole life. We shared many similarities, and our goals aligned perfectly for what we wanted from our journey together. NWSC does a fantastic job pairing couples with the right surrogate, and vice versa. As a bonus, my Intended Parents only live about 50 minutes away from me!
Our relationship since that initial meeting has been wonderful. We allowed our conversations and closeness to grow organically, which I truly appreciated. After having their baby, we stayed in close contact, and they are always so happy to share pictures and videos of their growing little angel—something I absolutely love and cherish.
