Connecting NWSC families to one another

In September, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting some of the wonderful Washington families who are working with NWSC.

They were in all stages of the process – some were already bouncing their babies on their knees, while others were excitedly talking about winter due dates and yet others were just finishing the contract stage with their surrogate.

As a former surrogate and current NWSC employee, I loved every second of getting to know these families. But the very best part was watching these families exchange contact info and make plans to meet up. Families new to the surrogacy process were asking questions of the more experienced families, sharing stories and offering some great insight. Coffee dates were planned, and email addresses were exchanged.

This is what it’s all about! Let’s build a community on shared experiences. We want it to be easy for our NWSC families to connect, whether it’s digitally or in-person.

Events for our families are being planned for 2019. These include:

  • Receptions in OR, CA and WA
  • Quarterly coffee meetups in cities with a large concentrations of NWSC families
  • International events

These are family-friendly events where families we’ve worked with past, present and future can meet each other, share stories and support, build communities in their own towns and show their children other families who have grown through surrogacy.

Your stories inspire us every day and so many other families can learn from them, too. We are working hard to create these opportunities and value any feedback or insight you can offer!
